(5)            THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER FUNCTIONS

RECOGNIZED BY THE MEDICAL AND PHARMACY PROFESSIONS AND

AUTHORIZED BY THE BOARD.

The words "drug" and "devices" shall not include
surgical or dental instruments, physical therapy equipment,
X—rays apparatus, their component parts or accessories.

The "practice of pharmacy" shall not include the
operations of a manufacturer or wholesaler as prescribed in
§269 and §270A of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Chiropractors

FOR the purpose of providing for a fee for Chiropractors to
be placed on inactive status; and providing for
reinstatement upon meeting certain requirements; and
paying a fee.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 43 - Health

Section 508(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

508.

(c) (1) A chiropractor may request to be placed on
inactive status. The Board may allow inactive status if the
applicant [complies with continuing education requirements
and payment of] PAYS an annual inactive fee.
