1326 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 269 report on the status and needs of postsecondary education in (II) A LIST OF MAJORS OFFERED BY 18-405. (C) (1) EACH SENATOR MAY AWARD NOT MORE THAN 10 IN THIS STATE. (2) IN AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS UNDER THIS SUBSECTION, PREFERENCE SHALL BE GIVEN TO APPLICANTS:
(I) STUDYING IN AN ACADEMIC AREA THAT IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THIS STATE; OR (II) PLANNING TO ATTEND AN INSTITUTION IN A STATE THAT ALLOWS ITS RESIDENTS TO USE ITS STATE'S SCHOLARSHIPS AT UNDERGRADUATE INSTITUTIONS IN THIS STATE.
