(House Bill 1223)

AN ACT concerning

Corrective Bill - Article 33
"Election Code"

FOR the purpose of correcting technical errors in certain
sections of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland,

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 33 — Election Code

Section 11-2(1) and 25-4 (a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 33 — Election Code

11-2.

(1) In Prince George's County, the Democratic Party
central committee consists of 24 members elected by all the
eligible voters in the county. Two members of the committee
shall reside in each of the eight legislative districts in
Prince George's County. The remaining eight members may
reside in any location in Prince George's [County a] COUNTY.
A candidate for election to the Democratic central committee
shall declare at the time he files for candidacy which seat
on the central committee he is [seeking, if] SEEKING. IF a
member who was elected from a specific legislative district
ceases to reside in that district, he may not continue to
serve on the central committee.

25-4.

(a) As used in this [subsection] SECTION, the term
"voter information material" includes only campaign
literature subject to the provisions of this article or
registration or voting information issued by the board of
supervisors of elections.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
