(E) DEBT SERVICE.
"DEBT SERVICE" MEANS THE AMOUNT ANNUALLY NEEDED TO
PAY THE MATURING PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON BONDS,
NOTES, AND OTHER EVIDENCES OF OBLIGATIONS OBLIGATION AND
TO MEET SINKING FUND REQUIREMENTS FOR THESE PURPOSES.
REVISOR'S NOTE; This subsection is new language that
combines without substantive change Art. 89B,
§29(h) and the parenthetical, definitional
clause of Art. 89B, §211G-1(b)(3).
At has been placed in this subtitle to
standardize and conform the meaning of the
term as used throughout this title and, by
similar definition in §8—401 of this article,
as used in Title 8, Subtitle 4.
(F) HIGHWAY FACILITY.
(1) IN THIS DEFINITION, "HIGHWAY" AND "STATE
HIGHWAY SYSTEM" HAVE THE MEANINGS STATED IN §8-101 OF
THIS ARTICLE.
(2) "HIGHWAY FACILITY" INCLUDES ANY ONE OR
MORE OR COMBINATION OF PROJECTS INVOLVING THE
REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF HIGHWAYS IN THE
STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM TO MEET PRESENT AND FUTURE NEEDS AND
THE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION IN NEW LOCATIONS OF NEW
HIGHWAYS NECESSITATED BY TRAFFIC DEMANDS TO BECOME PARTS
OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM, INCLUDING FEDERALLY AIDED
HIGHWAY PROJECTS PARTIALLY FUNDED BY THIS STATE, AND ALL
INCIDENTAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, MATERIALS, FACILITIES, AND
STRUCTURES.
REVISOR'S NOTE: Paragraph (2) of this subsection
presently appears as Art. 94A, § 1(g).
Paragraph (1) of this subsection is new
language added to standardize and conform the
meanings of the specified terms to those
defined in present Art. 89B, now Title 8 of
this article.
Present references to "primary and secondary"
highways are deleted as unnecessary since, by
definition in §8-101 of this article, they are
included in the meaning of "State highway
system".
The only other changes ace in style.
(G) OUTSTANDING AND UNPAID.
"OUTSTANDING AND UNPAID" DOES NOT INCLUDE:
(1) BONDS PURCHASED AND HELD IN SINKING FUNDS
BY OR FOR THE DEPARTMENT; OR
