11-202. UNIFORMITY OF INTERPRETATION.
THE PORTIONS OF THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW THAT ARE
IDENTICAL WITH CORRESPONDING PORTIONS OF THE UNIFORM
VEHICLE CODE SHALL BE INTERPRETED AND CONSTRUED TO MAKE
UNIFORM THE LAW OF THOSE STATES THAT ENACT THEM.

The short title "Maryland Vehicle Law" is
substituted for the present reference to "this
article"; see §11-206 of this subtitle.

In revising the Maryland Vehicle Law, the
Commission to Revise the Annotated Code has
made some changes in language and
organization. However, except as otherwise
noted, these are intended only for clarity,
brevity, and improved grammar and style and
are not at all intended to affect adversely in
any way the applicability of this section.
11-203. ARTICLE NOT RETROACTIVE.
THE MARYLAND VEHICLE LAW DOES NOT HAVE A
RETROACTIVE EFFECT AND DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY TRAFFIC
ACCIDENT, TO ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR JUDGMENT ARISING OUT
OF A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, OR TO ANY VIOLATION OF THE
VEHICLE LAWS OF THIS STATE OCCURING BEFORE JULY 1, 1977.
