MARVIN MANDEL, Governor
(1)        Art. 66 1/2, §1-108 ("Chauffeur"). The
term is obsolete for purposes of the Maryland Vehicle Law
and no longer is used in it. (2)      Art. 66 1/2, §1-110 ("Commercial Motor
Vehicle"). The term is obsolete for purposes of the
Maryland Vehicle Law and, in the few places where it is
used in present Art. 66 1/2, has been replaced, without
substantive change, by the terms "truck", "trailer", and
"semitrailer", as defined in this subtitle. (3)        Art. 66 1/2, §1-111 ("Commercial Motor
Vehicle - For Hire"). The term is obsolete for purposes
of the Maryland Vehicle Law and no longer is used in it. (4)        Art. 66 1/2, §1-112 ("Commercial
Trailer"). The term is not found anywhere in present
Art. 66 1/2 and has not been used in its revision. (5)        Art. 66 1/2, §1-113.1 ("Company Van
Pool"). This definition is unnecessary in light of the
revision of present Art. 66 1/2, §3-812 - now §13-932 of
this article — to include a cross—reference to the
identical definition appearing in Art. 78 of the Code. (6)      Art. 66 1/2, §1-124 ("Established Place
of Business"). The term is not found anywhere in present
Art. 66 1/2 and has not been used in its revision. (7)      Art. 66 1/2, §1-135 ("Immediate Family").
This definition is unnecessary in light of the revision
of present Art. 6 1/2, §3-831, where the substance of the
definition has been incorporated directly into the
substantive law; see §13—810(b)(1) of this article. The
term is not used anywhere else in the Maryland Vehicle
Law. (8)          Art. 66 1/2, §1-137 ("Inflammable
Liquid"). The term is deleted in favor of the
identically defined "flammable liquid" (see §11—123 of
this subtitle), which is the more commonly accepted usage
and has been used consistently in the Maryland Vehicle
Law. (9)        Art. 66 1/2, §1-139 ("Laned Roadway").
The term is not found anywhere in present Art. 66 1/2; in
fact, while it is taken from and identical to the
definition of "laned roadway" in §1—127 of the Uniform
Vehicle Code (Revised. — 1968), the term does not appear
to be used anywhere in that Code either. However — as
per the apparent intent of both the Uniform Vehicle Code
and the Maryland Vehicle Law — the substance of its
provisions has been incorporated in the revision of
present Art. 66 1/2, §§ 11-301 and 11-309; see §§ 21-301
and 21-309 of this article. (10)      Art. 66 1/2, §1-142 ("Lien Contract").
