MARVIN MANDEL, Governor 633
In subsection (b) of this section, the more
concise term "State, regional, or federal" is
substituted for "properly constituted".
The only other changes are in style.
As to present Art. 66 1/2, §1-181(b), which
defines "Type II school vehicle", see §11-174
of this subtitle.
As to present Art. 66 1/2, §1-181(c), which
excludes certain privately—owned vehicles from
the definition of "school vehicle", see
§11-154 of this subtitle.
As to present Art. 66 1/2, §1-181(d), which
defines "educational purposes", see §11—117 of
this subtitle.
11-174. TYPE II SCHOOL VEHICLE.
"TYPE II SCHOOL VEHICLE" MEANS A SCHOOL VEHICLE
THAT:
(1) IS DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED OR MODIFIED TO
CARRY PASSENGERS;
(2) IS EITHER OF THE BODY-ON-CHASSIS TYPE
CONSTRUCTION OR INTEGRAL TYPE CONSTRUCTION; AND
(3) HAS A SEATING CAPACITY OF 15 OR LESS FEWER
PASSENGERS, CALCULATED ON A BASIS OF PROVIDING A MINIMUM
OF 15 INCHES OF SEATING SPACE PER PASSENGER.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §1—181(b). It is made a separate
section to permit proper alphabetical
placement.
The present description of the use to which
the vehicle is put is deleted as unnecessary;
it has been included in §11-154 of this
subtitle, which defines "school vehicle"
generally.
In subsection (a) (3) of this section, the term
"passengers" is substituted for "persons" to
clarify that the specified seating capacity is
intended to be exclusive of the driver.
The only other changes are in style.
As to the balance of present Art. 66 1/2,
§1-181, see revisor's note to §11-173 of this
subtitle.
11-175. USED VEHICLE.
