(I) ANY TEMPORARY LICENSE OR LEARNER'S
PERMIT;
(II) THE PRIVILEGE OF ANY INDIVIDUAL TO
DRIVE A MOTOR VEHICLE, WHETHER OR NOT THAT INDIVIDUAL IS
FORMALLY LICENSED BY THIS OR ANY OTHER JURISDICTION; AND
(III) ANY NONRESIDENT'S PRIVILEGE TO DRIVE,
AS DEFINED IN THIS SUBTITLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§1-140.
As to the more limited term "driver's license"
— which does not, for example, include the
privileges listed in items (2) (ii) and (iii)
of this section — see §11—116 of this
subtitle.
11-129. LICENSED DEALER, DISTRIBUTOR, FACTORY BRANCH, OR
MANUFACTURER.
"LICENSED DEALER", "LICENSED DISTRIBUTOR",
"LICENSED FACTORY BRANCH", AND "LICENSED MANUFACTURER"
MEAN, RESPECTIVELY, A DEALER, DISTRIBUTOR, FACTORY
BRANCH, OR MANUFACTURER LICENSED IN THIS STATE UNDER
TITLE 15 OF THIS ARTICLE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
substituted for present Art. 66 1/2, §1-170,
which defined "registered dealer".
In this section and throughout the Maryland
Vehicle Law, the more correct term "licensed
dealer" is substituted for the somewhat
misleading "registered dealer". Title 15,
Subtitle 3 provides for licensing of dealers,
not simply their registration.
References to other licensed businesses are
added to accomodate scattered references in
the Maryland Vehicle Law to them.
11-130. LOCAL AUTHORITY.
"LOCAL AUTHORITY" MEANS A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OR
A LOCAL BOARD OR OTHER BODY THAT, UNDER THE LAWS OF THIS
STATE, HAS AUTHORITY TO ENACT LAWS AND ADOPT LOCAL POLICE
REGULATIONS RELATING TO TRAFFIC.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§1-144.
11-131. MAIL.
"MAIL" MEANS TO DEPOSIT IN THE UNITED STATES MAIL,
