WHEREAS, Other stations have been proposed with top
priority given a station on I—95; and
WHEREAS, Two more stations to be established at an
estimated cost of [[$250,000]] $500,000 and they would
bring in estimated revenue of [[$1,500,000]] $2,225,000
annually; and
WHEREAS, Not only will the establishment of these
stations bring in revenue but proper policing of truck
weights will protect the roads and result in lower road
maintenance and repair costs; now, therefore, be it

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 14-111.1 be and it is hereby
added to Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated
code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:
Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws
14-111.1.
THE STATE POLICE SHALL MAINTAIN AT LEAST FIVE
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MEASURING AND WEIGHING STATIONS. AT
LEAST ONE OF THESE STATIONS SHALL BE ON UNITED STATES
ROUTE I-95.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, [[1976]] 1977.

FOR the purpose of providing an individualized plan of
care, including training and appropriate therapy and
recreation for certain patients , subject to
budgetary restrictions,; and requiring that the
Director of Mental Retardation issue certain
directives.
