(B) BOARD.
"BOARD" MEANS THE TRANSPORTATION PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES SELECTION BOARD.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added to avoid unnecessary repetition in this
subtitle of the full title of the Board.
(C) CONTRACT.
"CONTRACT" MEANS A TRANSPORTATION AGENCY CONTRACT
FOR ARCHITECTURAL OR ENGINEERING SERVICES.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added to avoid unnecessary repetition in this
subtitle of the phrase "contract for
architectural or engineering services" and of
references to affected transportation
agencies. The words "consultant agreement or
other obligation" are deleted throughout this
subtitle as unnecessary since they are
included in the term "contract".
(D) TRANSPORTATION AGENCY.
"TRANSPORTATION AGENCY" MEANS THE DEPARTMENT, ANY OF
ITS UNITS, OR THE MARYLAND TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
added to avoid unnecessary repetition in this
subtitle of the names of the agencies to which
the subtitle relates.

2-302. BOARD ESTABLISHED.
THERE IS A TRANSPORTATION PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
SELECTION BOARD IN THE DEPARTMENT.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of Art. 41, §231N(a)(1).
It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.
In §2-103 (f) and (g) of this article, the
Board is excepted from the Secretary's general
authority to transfer functions and exercise
