MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
of Maryland, and to eliminate obsolete provisions of said
Charter; and WHEREAS the Mayor and Council of The Town of Union
Bridge deem it advisable to revise the Charter of The
Town of Union Bridge to have such changes made prior to
the publication of the proposed Code of Public Local Laws
of Carroll County: BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
The Town of Union Bridge that pursuant to Article XIE of
the Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article 23A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Volume as
Amended) that Section 2 (Corporate Limits) be repealed in
its entirety and that a new Section 2 be enacted in lieu
thereof, that Sections 3, 16, 20(27), 20(47), 34, 36, 53,
64, 71, 91 and 97 be repealed and re—enacted with
amendments. [Section 2 of the Charter of the Town of Union
Bridge as found in the Code of Public Local Laws of
Carroll County, repealed and added. Effective Date March 16, 1976] [Sections 3, 16, 20(27), 20(47), 34, 36, 53, 64, 71,
91 and 97 of the Charter of Union Bridge as found in the
Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll County, repealed and
reenacted, with amendments. Effective Date March 16, 1976]
UNIVERSITY PARK (Prince George's County) Resolution of the Town of University Park, Maryland,
adopted pursuant to the authority of Articles XI—E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (Subtitle "Home Rule") to
[amend] RECODIFY AND AMEND CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF the
Charter of the Town of University Park, said Charter
being Chapter 81 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland by: Repealing and re-enacting sections 81—7, 81—8, 81—9,
and 81-10, AND ADDING SECTION 81-10A to provide for the
qualifications for voters in town elections; the
appointment and functions of the supervisors of election,
INCLUDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TWO YEAR TERMS FOR
SUPERVISORS; THE DESIGNATION OF A CHAIRMAN BY THE MAYOR
AND COMMON COUNCIL AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
TO ESTABLISH COMPENSATION FOR SUPERVISORS; PROVIDING FOR
GENERAL ELECTIONS TO BE HELD ON THE SECOND MONDAY IN MAY,
ELECTION PROCEDURES, REGISTRATION OF VOTERS, APPEALS FROM
