Southeasterly corporate limits of The City of Salisbury
and called Schumaker Annexation for identification, and
WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has caused to be made
a certification of the signatures on said consent to
annexation and has verified that the persons signing the
petition represent at least 25% of the persons who reside
in the area to be annexed and who are registered to vote
in the county elections for Wicomico County, in which
said area is located and that the persons signing the
consent to annexation are the owners of at least 25% of
the assessed valuation of the real property located in
the area sought to be annexed, all as of June 28, 1976,
as will more particularly appear by the certification of
Philip C. Cooper, Director of Public Works for The City
of Salisbury, attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the consents meet all the
requirements of law.
[Section 2 of Article I of the Charter of Salisbury,
Wicomico County, repealed and reenacted. with amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 1976-1
RESOLUTION BY MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF SNOW HILL
PERTAINING TO:
AMENDMENT TO CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF SNOW HILL
WHEREAS, by virtue of the authority contained in
Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland as amplified
and implemented by the provisions of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1972 Replacement Volume, as
amended, Mayor and Council of Snow Hill, a municipal
corporation of the State of Maryland, is authorized and
empowered to initiate proposed amendments to the
municipal charter of the Town of Snow Hill by resolution
passed in the usual course of considering resolutions in
the government of said municipal corporation by a
majority of all of the persons elected to said Council;
and
WHEREAS, by Section 383 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Worcester County, Maryland, 1965 Supplement,
being a part of Article 24 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland and a part of the charter of Mayor and Council
of Snow Hill, a municipal corporation of the State of
Maryland, the method of levying and collecting town taxes
in said municipality and the rate of interest which such
taxes shall bear if in arrears are prescribed; and
