SALISBURY
to be annexed, being contiguous to and binding upon the
Southeasterly corporate limits of The City of Salisbury
and called "Route 50 East Annexation", for
identification, and WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has caused to be made
a certification of the signatures on said consent to
annexation and has verified that the persons signing the
petition represent at least 25% of the persons who reside
in the area to be annexed and who are registered to vote
in the county elections for Wicomico County, in which
said area is located and that the persons signing the
consent to annexation are the owners of at least 25% of
the assessed valuation of the real property located in
the area sought to be annexed, all as of March 22, 1976,
as will more particularly appear by the certification of
Philip C. Cooper, Director of Public Works for The City
of Salisbury, attached hereto; and WHEREAS, it appears that the consents meet all the
requirements of law. [Section 2 of Article I of the Charter of Salisbury,
Wicomico County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments. Effective Date June 12, 1976]
RESOLUTION NO. 192 A RESOLUTION of the Council of The City of Salisbury
proposing the annexation to the City of Salisbury of
a certain area of land situated contiguous to and
binding upon the Easterly corporate limits of the
City of Salisbury, popularly known as Schumaker
Annexation and bounded on the West, in part, by the
existing Corporate limits of the City of Salisbury,
in part by College Avenue Extended and Beaglin Park
Drive and in part by the Westerly property line of
the land of Salisbury Joint Venture and bounded on
the North by South Schumaker Drive, and bounded on
the East, in part, by the Easterly property line of
the land of Salisbury Joint Venture and in part by
the Easterly property line of the land of Lakeside
Lumber Corporation and in part by the Easterly
property line of the Board of Education (Parkside
High School) and bounded on the South by the
Southerly property line of the Board of Education
(Parkside High School) WHEREAS, The City of Salisbury has received consents
to annexation, signed by at least 2 5% of the persons who
reside in the area to be annexed and who are registered
voters and by the owners of at least 25% of the assessed
valuation of the real property located in the area sought
to be annexed, being contiguous to and binding upon the
