RESOLUTION NO. 2nd 1976
A RESOLUTION of the City of Laurel Adopted Pursuant
to the provisions of Article 23A, Sections 11 through 18,
titled Corporations - Municipal, subtitled Charter
Amendments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume) to amend the Charter of the City of
Laurel, Section 36 entitled "Borrowing power", the
purpose of which is to expand the authority of the Mayor
and City Council to authorize privately negotiated bond
sales.
[Section 36 of the Charter of Laurel, Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County, repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.
Effective Date November 30, 1976]

CHARTER AMENDMENT
CITY COUNCIL OF LAUREL
A Resolution of the City Council of Laurel pursuant
to the provisions of Article 23A, §§11 through 18, titled
"Corporations—Municipal", subtitled "Charter Amendments'1,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland to amend the City
Charter of Laurel, subtitled "Police", entitled "§41.
Appointments; duties.", the purpose of which is to
provide for the appointment of the Chief of Police in
like manner as that of the City Supervisor and the
Clerk—Treasurer and to eliminate such portions thereof
now obsolete.
[Section 41 of the Charter of Laurel, Prince
George's County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

LAYTONSVILLE
(Montgomery County)
A RESOLUTION to amend §§1(b), 3(a), and 4 of the
Charter of the Town of Laytonsville so as to increase the
number of councilmen from two to four, provide for their
election, and the filling of vacancies, and to add a new
subsection, to be known as section 3(c) of said Charter,
to provide for a special election to elect the two new
council members.
