CHEVY CHASE
CHEVY CHASE SECTION 4 (Montgomery County) RESOLUTION OF ANNEXATION A Resolution to annex portions of those areas known
as Chevy Chase Sections 8, 8A, 8B, warrens Addition to
Section 8, Norwood Heights, Tarrytown and Meadowbrook
Village. WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to the
Citizens Committee of Chevy Chase Section 4 proposing to
enlarge the corporate boundaries of Chevy Chase Section
4, and the signers of said petition having been duly
verified as representing at least twenty—five percent
(25%) of the persons who reside in the area to be annexed
and being registered as voters in the county elections in
the precinct in which said territory is located, and
being the owners of at least twenty—five percent (25%) of
the assessed valuation of the real property located in
the area to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Committee of Chevy Chase
Section 4 has fully considered said petition and
considers the annexation of said property to be in the
best interests of the residents of that area and of the
residents of the Town of Chevy Chase Section 4. [Section 76 — 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments. Effective Date June 30, 1976]
