specifically authorizing The Town of Chestertown to
borrow money for any public purpose and to evidence
such borrowing by the issue and sale of its general
obligation bonds, or bond anticipation notes, and
providing that such bonds or notes may be sold at
private sale in the discretion of the Mayor and
Council, and relating generally to the issue and
sale of such bonds or notes.

RESOLUTION AND ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE V,
"ELECTIONS", OF THE CHARTER AND LOCAL LAWS OF THE TOWN OF
CHEVERLY, MARYLAND, BY REPEALING SECTIONS C-17 AND C-18
AND SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS THEREFOR
WHEREAS the laws of the State of Maryland provide
authority for the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of
Cheverly, Maryland, to amend the town charter and to pass
such ordinances not contrary to the public general or
public local laws and the Constitution of Maryland as
they may deem necessary in order to assure the good
government of the municipality; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of
Cheverly, Maryland, are of the considered opinion that
the good government of the town requires that the charter
and election laws of the town should be revised and
amended;
[Sections C-17 and C-18 of Article V of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, repealed.
Sections C-17, C-18, C-18.1, C-18.2, C-18.3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County,
added.
