Beverages in Damascus
STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23—11 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland, on November 2, 1976, an Act known as Chapter 86
of the Acts of 1976 was submitted to the voters of the
12th Election District of Montgomery County, Maryland
under the provisions of said Chapter 86, said Act being
as follows:
AN ACT concerning Montgomery County — Alcoholic
Beverages (Damascus - 12th District) - MC 5-76- For the
purpose of permitting in Montgomery County the sale of
alcoholic beverages in a certain election district;
clarifying language and structure; and submitting this
measure to a certain referendum.
And it is hereby certified that at said election,
1,107 votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter 86
and 1,848 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 86, the said Chapter 86 of the Acts of 1976 has
therefore failed ratification by the voters of the 12th
Election District of Montgomery County, Maryland.

Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 23rd day of
November, In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine
Hundred and Seventy-Six.
