flagstaff on the State House, and is further requested to
have a gold cross bottony affixed to the top of the
flagstaff if it concludes after its investigation that
the project is practical; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to
the State House Trust c/o Dr. Carl N. Everstine,
Secretary, 90 State Circle, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.

A House Joint Resolution concerning
Creation of Mobile Home Study Commission
FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to appoint a
Mobile Home Study Commission to study the problems
and issues related to mobile home residence and
business endeavors, and the implications and
ramifications of these problems and issues for the
public in general; specifying the composition of the
Commission; providing for staff services and
assistance to the Commission; and designating a date
for the Commission to issue a report of its findings
of its study together with any suggested
legislation.
WHEREAS, A significant number of people reside in
and own mobile homes in this State; and
WHEREAS, There are persons within this State that
are engaged in the business of selling mobile homes,
renting space and facilities to accommodate these
structures in mobile home parks, and various other
commercial endeavors relating to motile homes; and
WHEREAS, Both the mobile home residents and persons
engaged in mobile home related businesses experience
unique problems related to their living accommodations
and type of business enterprise; and
WHEREAS, Many issues such as zoning, tax laws, and
landlord/tenant matters should be examined in view of
their implications for all parties concerned and affected
by mobile homes; and
