LAWS OF MARYLAND
report the sum so prorated as compensation and shall
further state that the sums reported are a prorated
portion of total compensation and that the affiants
believe the proration to be fair and reasonable.] (A)         EACH REGISTRANT SHALL FILE WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE, TWO REPORTS UNDER OATH CONCERNING HIS LOBBYING
ACTIVITIES, ONE REPORT COVERING THE PERIOD BEGINNING ON
NOVEMBER 1 THROUGH APRIL 30, FILED BY MAY 31, AND ONE
REPORT COVERING THE PERIOD BEGINNING ON MAY 1 THROUGH
OCTOBER 31 FILED BY NOVEMBER 30. IF THE REGISTRANT IS
NOT AN INDIVIDUAL, AN AUTHORIZED OFFICER OR AGENT OF THE
REGISTRANT SHALL SIGN THE FORM. EACH REGISTRANT SHALL
FILE A SEPARATE ACTIVITY REPORT FOR EACH PERSON FROM WHOM
HE RECEIVES COMPENSATION. THE REPORT SHALL BE ON A FORM
PROVIDED BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE AND SHALL INCLUDE: (1)          A COMPLETE AND CURRENT STATEMENT OF THE
INFORMATION REQUIRED TO BE SUPPLIED PURSUANT TO SECTION
8(B) OF THIS SUBTITLE; (2)          TOTAL EXPENDITURES ON ACTS REQUIRING
REGISTRATION IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: (I)          TOTAL COMPENSATION PAID TO THE REGISTRANT NOT INCLUDING EXPENSES REPORTED UNDER PARAGRAPHS (II) THROUGH (IX) AND SALARIES, COMPENSATION,
AND REIMBURSED EXPENSES FOR THE STAFF OF THE
REGISTRANT,; OTHER THAN PERSONAL TRAVEL OR SUBSISTENCE EXPENSES REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE REGISTRANT RECEIVED REIMBURSEMENT FROM AN EMPLOYER OR PRINCIPAL; (II)        OFFICE EXPENSES OF THE REGISTRANT
NOT REPORTED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (I) OF THIS SUBSECTION; (III)     PROFESSIONAL              AND              TECHNICAL
RESEARCH AND ASSISTANCE NOT REPORTED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (I)
OF THIS SUBSECTION; (IV)        PUBLICATIONS           WHICH           EXPRESSLY
ENCOURAGED PERSONS TO COMMUNICATE WITH OFFICIALS IN THE
LEGISLATIVE OR EXECUTIVE BRANCH; (V)           NAMES OF WITNESSES, AND FEES AND
EXPENSES PAID TO WITNESSES; (VI)        MEALS           AND              BEVERAGES              FOR
LEGISLATIVE BRANCH OFFICIALS OR THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY; (VII)      SPECIAL EVENTS FOR LEGISLATIVE BRANCH OFFICIALS OR THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY , INCLUDING PARTIES, DINNERS, ATHLETIC EVENTS, ENTERTAINMENT, AND OTHER FUNCTIONS TO WHICH ALL MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, EITHER HOUSE THEREOF, OR ANY STANDING COMMITTEE
THEREOF ARE INVITED; (VIII)        GIFTS TO OR FOR LEGISLATIVE
BRANCH OFFICIALS OR THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY; AND
