MARVIN MANDEL, Governor
appointed officials or employees of the State or
political subdivision [thereof] OF THE STATE, or of the
United States, and not as representatives, in any manner,
of any other entity. (D)          A PUBLISHER OR WORKING MEMBER OF THE PRESS,
RADIO, OR TELEVISION WHO IN THE ORDINARY COURSE OF
BUSINESS DISSEMINATES NEWS OR EDITORIAL COMMENT TO THE
GENERAL PUBLIC AND WHO ENGAGES IN NO FURTHER OR OTHER
LOBBYING THAT WOULD DIRECTLY AND SPECIFICALLY BENEFIT THE
ECONOMIC, BUSINESS, OR PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF THAT
PERSON OR THAT PERSON'S EMPLOYER. (E)          PERSONS APPEARING BEFORE A LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE AT THE SPECIFIC INVITATION OR REQUEST OF A
LOBBYIST WHO IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT, PROVIDING THE WITNESS APPEARING PERFORMS NO OTHER ACT OTHER THAN SUCH INVITED APPEARANCES FOR THE SAME LOBBYIST FOR WHICH DISCLOSURE WOULD OTHERWISE BE REQUIRED. PERSONS APPEARING BEFORE A LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE AT THE SPECIFIC INVITATION OR REQUEST OF A REGISTRANT, PROVIDING THEY PERFORM NO OTHER ACT FOR WHICH DISCLOSURE IS REQUIRED AND PROVIDING THE WITNESS IDENTIFIES HIMSELF TO THE COMMITTEE AS TESTIFYING AT THE
REQUEST OF THE REGISTRANT, (F)    PERSONS WHO REPRESENT BONA FIDE RELIGIOUS
ORGANIZATIONS SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE
RIGHT OF THEIR OWN MEMBERS TO PRACTICE THE DOCTRINE OF
SUCH ORGANIZATIONS. (G)    OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS AND EMPLOYEES OF
ASSOCIATIONS ENGAGED EXCLUSIVELY IN LOBBYING FOR COUNTIES
AND MUNICIPALITIES. (H) A PERSON WHO COMPENSATES ONE OR MORE
REGISTRANTS AND WHO REASONABLY BELIEVES THAT ALL
EXPENDITURES REQUIRING REGISTRATION ARE REPORTED BY A
DESIGNATED LOBBYIST REGISTRANT AND WHO ENGAGES IN NO
OTHER ACT WHICH WOULD OTHERWISE REQUIRE REGISTRATION. 7. Every employer shall furnish a written and signed
authorization to act which shall be filed with the
Secretary of State by the [legislative agent] LOBBYIST
REGISTRANT OR EXECUTIVE BRANCH LOBBYIST at the time of
his registration. If the employer is a corporation, any
authorized officer or agent, who is not the [legislative
agent] LOBBYIST REGISTRANT OR EXECUTIVE BRANCH LOBBYIST,
shall furnish and sign the written authorization. The
authorization shall include the full and legal name and
business address of both the employer and the
[legislative agent] LOBBYIST REGISTRANT OR EXECUTIVE
BRANCH LOBBYIST, the period of time during which the
[legislative agent] LOBBYIST REGISTRANT OR EXECUTIVE
BRANCH LOBBYIST is authorized to act, unless sooner
terminated, and the proposal or subjects upon which the
