(House Bill 439)
AN ACT concerning
Maryland Historical Trust - Investments
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Maryland Historical
Trust to invest certain funds under certain
conditions.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 41 - Governor — Executive and Administrative
Departments
Section 181E(a) and (d)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 18lE(a) and (d) of Article 41 -
Governor — Executive and Administrative Departments, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 41 - Governor — Executive
and Administrative Departments
181E.
(a) The trustees shall have the following powers
and duties:
(d) To accept gifts, legacies, bequests and
endowments for any purpose which falls within that of the
Trust and unless otherwise specified by the person making
[such] THE gift, legacy, bequest [and], OR endowment, the
trustees may expend both principal and income of any such
gift, bequest, legacy, or endowment of money in
furtherance of the Trust or, WITH THE CONSENT OF THE
TREASURER OF THE STATE, invest the same in whole or in
part in general obligations of the State of Maryland, OR
OTHER SECURITIES, IN FURTHERANCE OF THE TRUST.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977,
