(d) (4) An employee who has been transferred and
appointed to the State merit system under this subsection
may not receive any diminution in pay solely as a result
of that transfer and appointment[.]; NOR RECEIVE ANY LOSS
IN THE NUMBER OF ACCUMULATED ANNUAL AND SICK LEAVE DAYS
CREDITED TO EACH EMPLOYEE AT THE TIME OF TRANSFER, BUT NO
ACCUMULATED ANNUAL OR SICK LEAVE DAYS MAY BE CREDITED TO
THE EMPLOYEE IN EXCESS OF THE NUMBER OF ACCUMULATED DAYS
PERMITTED UNDER ARTICLE 64A OF THE CODE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
