Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
38.
(a) (1) In Prince George's County no holder of any
retail license [issued by the clerk of the Circuit Court
of Prince George's County] shall be permitted to sell in
a sealed package or container less than [one-half pint]
200 MILLILITERS of any alcoholic beverage except beer and
wine.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea and nay
vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 1280)
AN ACT concerning
Allegany County - Sheriffs
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners
of Allegany County to allow a deputy sheriff to
perform certain off-duty services, subject to the
approval of the Sheriff of Allegany County;
authorizing the Sheriff to appoint certain
additional employees; and providing for the payment
of certain fees and salaries.
