MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                            3019 surveyor-in-training or for registration as a property
line surveyor] shall be on a form prescribed and
furnished by the Board[; ]. THE APPLICATION shall contain
statements made under oath showing the applicant's
education and a detailed summary of his technical
experience[; shall contain] AND not less than five
references, [of whom, for a professional engineer or
engineer—in-training applicant, three or more shall,]
INCLUDING, unless excused by the Board, [be] AT LEAST
THREE professional engineers having personal knowledge of
his engineering experience [and, for a professional land
surveyor or land surveyor-in-training applicant, or for a
property line surveyor applicant, three or more shall,
unless excused by the Board, be professional land
surveyors having personal knowledge of his land surveying
experience; and], THE APPLICATION ALSO shall contain or
be accompanied by any other relevant material or
information, such as a certificate issued by the National
Council of Engineering Examiners or its successor. The
following shall be considered as minimum evidence
satisfactory to the Board that the applicant is qualified
for registration as a professional engineer[, or
professional land surveyor,] or for certification as an
engineer—in-training[, or a land surveyor—in-training, or
for registration as a property line surveyor],
respectively. [(g)] (D) A person holding a certificate of
registration to engage in the practice of engineering [or
land surveying] on the basis of comparable
qualifications, issued to him by a proper authority of a
state, territory, or possession of the United States, or
the District of Columbia, who, in the opinion of the
Board, qualified under requirements equivalent to the
requirements of this article as they existed at the time
of such prior registration based on verified evidence
[may], upon application, MAY be registered without taking
the written examination provided for in this article. [(h)] (E) [No] A person [shall be] IS NOT eligible
for consideration for registration as a professional
engineer [or professional land surveyor or property line
surveyor] or FOR certification as an engineer-in-training
[or a land surveyor-in-training] who is not of good
character and reputation. [(i)] (F) In considering the qualifications of
applicants, engineering teaching as an associate
professor or higher may be construed as engineering
experience. [(j)]   (G) The satisfactory completion of each scholastic year of an engineering [or land surveying] curriculum approved by the Board as of satisfactory standing, without graduation, may be considered as equivalent to a year of experience in [§§ 12(a)(2), 12(a)(3),     12(c)(2), and 12(c)(3)] SUBSECTIONS (E)(2) AND
(B)(3) OF THIS SECTION.
