June preceding, showing therein the funds and revenues of
the State, specifying the amounts received from each
source of revenue, and further showing therein the public
expenditures of the State, the purposes for which such
expenditures were made and showing amounts claimed to be
due to the State by any political subdivision or by any
public officer of a political subdivision charged by law
with the collection of revenues for the account of the
State. Such annual report shall also set forth an
estimate of the revenues and expenditures for the current
fiscal year.
[(b) He shall also separately report to the
legislature and to the Governor as soon as practicable
after the close of each fiscal year, the names and
official character or service of each person to whom any
payment or allowance has been made or the purpose for
which payments have been made from the appropriations for
legislative expenses of the General Assembly, and
separating the same into payments made for or in behalf
of the Senate, and payments made for or in behalf of the
House of Delegates.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 62(c) be and it is hereby added to Article 40 —
General Assembly, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (197 1
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) to read as
follows:

(C) THE LEGISLATIVE ACCOUNTING OFFICE SHALL REPORT
TO THE PRESIDENT AND THE SPEAKER AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
AFTER THE CLOSE OF EACH FISCAL YEAR THE NAMES AND
OFFICIAL CHARACTER OR SERVICE OF EACH PERSON TO WHOM ANY
PAYMENT OR ALLOWANCE HAS BEEN MADE, OR THE PURPOSE FOR
WHICH PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE FROM THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR
LEGISLATIVE EXPENSES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, AND
SEPARATING THE SAME INTO PAYMENTS MADE FOR OR IN BEHALF
OF THE SENATE, AND PAYMENTS MADE FOR OR IN BEHALF Of THE
HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
