AN ACT concerning
Worcester County - Sabbath Breaking
FOR the purpose of repealing certain provisions relating
to a referendum concerning Sabbath breaking in
Worcester County; specifying that the laws relating
to Sabbath breaking in Worcester County apply in all
of the County; prohibiting the results from a
certain referendum from controlling Sabbath breaking
in the County; and clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 2 and 3 of Chapter 562 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1974, be and
they are hereby repealed:

[SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That before
this Act shall become effective, it shall first be
submitted to the legally qualified voters of Worcester
County at a special election to be held at the earliest
possible date, but not later than June 1, 1974, the exact
date to be fixed in the discretion of the County
Commissioners of Worcester County. The cost of such
election shall be borne by the County Commissioners of
