(2) IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES THE
COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND THE MAKING AND AWARDING OF
CONTRACTS SHALL BE IN AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF;
(I) ALLEGANY COUNTY......$1,500
(II) CHARLES COUNTY......$2,500
(III) HARFORD COUNTY......$1,000
(IV) ST. MARY'S COUNTY.....$2,500
(V) SOMERSET COUNTY......$1,000
(VI) TALBOT COUNTY.......$1,000
(VII) WORCESTER COUNTY.....$2,500
(3) The provisions of this subsection [will]
ARE not [be] applicable in Kent County.
(4) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION ARE
NOT APPLICABLE IN CHARLES COUNTY WITH REGARD SOLELY TO
CONTRACTING FOR THE SERVICES OF AN ARCHITECTURAL AND/OR
ENGINEERING FIRM FOR DESIGN AND/OR CONSULTATION PURPOSES.
WITH REGARD TO CONTRACTING FOR OTHER COUNTY WORK THESE
PROVISIONS ARE APPLICABLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
