Section 21-1401(e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(As enacted by Chapter ___ of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1977)
BY adding to
Article - Transportation
Section 21-1413
Annotated Code of Maryland
(As enacted by Chapter 14 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1977)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 21-1401(e) of Article--
Transportation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As
enacted by Chapter ____ of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1977) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article - Transportation
21-1401.
(e) "Vehicular Crossing" means:
(1) each tunnel, HIGHWAY, and bridge within
the jurisdiction of the Maryland Transportation
Authority; and
(2) each approach to these tunnels,
HIGHWAYS, and bridges.
SECTION 2 1. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 21—1413 be and it is hereby added to Article —
Transportation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As
enacted by Chapter 14 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1977) to read as follows:
Article - Transportation
21-1413.
A PERSON MAY NOT FAIL OR REFUSE TO PAY THE
PRESCRIBED TOLL OR ATTEMPT TO EVADE THE PAYMENT OF THE
TOLL AT ANY HIGHWAY OR VEHICULAR CROSSING FOR WHICH THE
PAYMENT OF A TOLL IS FIXED.

SECTION 3 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect July 1, 1977.
