AN ACT concerning
Charles County — Contracting for Architectural and/or
Engineering Services

FOR the purpose of exempting the Charles County
Commissioners from the requirement of competitive
bidding for the services of an architectural and/or
engineering firm for design and/or consultation
purposes; continuing the competitive bidding
requirement for other county work; restructuring;
and clarifying language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3(1) of Article 25 - County
Commissioners, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows;

(1) (1) To provide for competitive bidding for
any county work and the making and awarding of contracts
for the purchase of materials and supplies in excess of
[$2,500 in St. Mary's County, in excess of $1,000 in
Harford County, Somerset County, and Talbot County, in
excess of $2,500 in Worcester County and Charles County,
