2554                                        LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 620
Garrett County — Election Laws FOR the purpose of repealing certain provisions relating
to the election laws in Garrett County that are
obsolete or conflict with the provisions of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland. BY repealing The Public Local Laws of Garrett County
Section 12-17, 12-18, 12-19, 13-1, and 13-2
Article 12 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1971 Edition, as amended)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 12-17, 12-18, 12-19, 13-1, and
13—2 of the Public Local Laws of Garrett County being
Article 12 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1971
Edition, as amended) be and they are hereby repealed: Article 12
[12-17. The polling place of said Avilton District No. 15,
shall be at some place to be selected and designated by
the Supervisors of Elections of said County, and for the
purpose of providing for the registration of voters in
said district and the holding of election therein, the
said Supervisors of Elections shall make the necessary
appointments and provide the necessary books, ballot
boxes, etc., as are required for other election
districts. All persons living in said district who are
entitled to register shall register in said district.] [12-18. (a)    Election district number eight of Garrett
County is hereby divided into two voting precincts, to be
known, respectively, as the "First" and "Second" Election
Precincts of the Eighth Election District of said Garrett
County. The division line between the said precincts
shall be as follows: The first precinct shall be the
territory within the following outlines, to wit: (b)    All that part of said election district number
eight, as new laid out and established, east of the
summit of Backbone Mountain, and east of the top of the
Mountain from the time of district number seven on the
north to Laurel Run, and the north prong of said Run from
its mouth below the town of Dobbin up said Run and the
north prong of said Run to its source, then by a due
north line to the summit of Backbone Mountain and thence
northerly along said summit to the line of district
number seven.
