SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 96(a) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
96.
(a) In Charles County, notwithstanding any other
provisions of this subtitle, the hours of sale for
alcoholic beverages shall be as follows:
(1) Monday, 6 a.m. to Tuesday, 2 a.m.
(2) Tuesday, 6 a.m. to Wednesday, 2 a.m.
(3) Wednesday, 6 a.m. to Thursday, 2 a.m.
(4) Thursday, 6 a.m. to Friday, 2 a.m.
(5) Friday, 6 a.m. to Saturday, 2 a.m.
(6) Saturday, 6 a.m. to Sunday, 2 a.m.
(7) Sunday, 6 a.m. to Sunday, midnight[, for
beer and light wine only].
[(8) Sunday, noon to Sunday, midnight, for
liquor.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
