AN ACT concerning
Anne Arundel County — Orphans' Court
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the judges of
the Orphans' Court for Anne Arundel County; and
prohibiting the salary increase from affecting the
incumbent.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Estates and Trusts
Section 2-108(c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-108(c) of Article - Estates and
Trusts, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

|
(c) Each of the judges of the court for Anne
Arundel County shall receive an annual compensation of
[$2,500] $5,000 $3,000. The Chief Judge shall receive an
additional $500 annually. Each judge shall also receive
an expense allowance up to $100 per month for personal
expenses incidental to his duties, to be paid by the
comptroller of Anne Arundel County each month upon
presentation of an itemized voucher in accordance with
rules and regulations prescribed by the comptroller.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the persons specified by this
Act in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the
persons specified by this Act shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
