SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 610(c) of Article 43 - Health, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 43 - Health
610.
(c) (1) Before commencing practice as a physical
therapist or physical therapist assistant in Maryland, an
individual shall [file with the Board a written
application for] OBTAIN A TEMPORARY LICENSE OR license,
(2) AN APPLICANT FOR LICENSURE by
endorsement or examination SHALL FILE WITH THE BOARD A
WRITTEN APPLICATION and other documents as the Board may
require. When all documents required for licensure are
on file with the Board AMD THE BOARD DETERMINES THAT THE
APPLICANT IS ELIGIBLE FOR LICENSURE, it shall issue a
temporary license to the applicant. The temporary
license shall expire 60 days after the date of the next
scheduled examination unless the Board determines that
the license stall be forfeited before that date. If an
applicant for licensure by examination does not report to
take the examination, the temporary license expires on
the date of the examination. At the discretion of the
Board, a temporary license may be renewed once or
extended for completion of a preceptorship.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

Bituminous Coal - Prospecting
FOR the purpose of prohibiting prospecting of bituminous
coal without consent of the landowner, approval of
the Bureau of Mines, and posting of certain bond;
requiring reclamation of prospect areas; defining a
term; and deleting a penalty provision.
