BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 88D - State Lottery

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 20(c) of Article 88D - State
Lottery, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 88D - State lottery
20.
(c) For the fiscal year YEARS 1977 1978 AND 1979
ONLY, AND IN ALL SUBSEQUENT FISCAL YEARS the State's
share shall be accumulated in the fund on a monthly basis
and each month's share shall be paid over promptly after
the first of each month for the preceding month into the
general fund of the State. [ These moneys shall be
available as general fund revenues in the fiscal year
YEARS 1977 1978 AND 1979 in which accumulated. In the
fiscal year 1978 1980 no lottery revenues shall be placed
in the general fund of the State. In the fiscal year
1979 1981 and each fiscal year thereafter the State's
share shall be accumulated in the fund on a fiscal year
basis and each twelve—month's share shall be placed in
the general fund of the State for the next fiscal
year.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1977.
