AN ACT concerning
State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners -
Temporary Permits
FOR the purpose of abolishing temporary permits for the
practice of veterinary medicine; and declaring
certain permits void after a certain date.

Sections 2-301(h) and 2-309

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 2-301(h) and 2-309 of Article -
Agriculture, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974
Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed:

2-301.
[(h) "Temporary permit" means a temporary permit to
practice veterinary medicine, issued pursuant to this
subtitle.]
[2-309.
(a) Any veterinarian applying for a temporary
permit shall associate himself with a licensed and
registered veterinarian in the state, and his work shall
be limited to the practice of the veterinary
practitioner.
(b) The permit shall bear the name and address of
the veterinary practitioner.
(c) The permit fee is $75. This sum shall be
applied toward the examination fee, but shall be
forfeited if the applicant fails to present himself at
either of the next two scheduled examinations.
(d) The applicant shall present himself for
examination at either of the next two scheduled
examinations of the Board.
(e) The permit shall expire on the day following
