SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all
temporary permits for the practice of veterinary medicine
in the State of Maryland are null and void as of July 1,
1977.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 789 of Article 43 - Health, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 43 - Health
789.
(a) Any certified patient for whose treatment the
State has paid, or the person [or persons] liable for the
