revenue projects from the State Roads Commission and the
former Maryland Port Authority to the Maryland
Transportation Authority. Since that transfer of powers
took place on July 1, 1970, and since all references in
this article - and by virtue of §4-209 of this title,
elsewhere - have been conformed to reflect the transfer,
the section is now obsolete and, consequently, is
repealed. See, also, former Art. 94A, §3 - now Section 1
of Ch. 60S, Acts of 1976 - and the definitions of "State
Roads Commission" contained in §7(a) of Section 3 and
§3(a) of Section 4, of Ch. 608, Acts of 1976.
Art. 89B, §162A, which provides that the
Administrator of the Kennedy Highway is a member of the
classified service, is repealed as obsolete. It was
required only for protection of the first Administrator,
who was a gubernatorial appointee and has since retired.
As to the balance of present Art. 89B, see Title 8
of this article.
As to specific traffic regulations applicable to
certain toll facilities, see Title 21, Subtitle 14 of
this article.

5-101. DEFINITIONS.
(A) IN GENERAL.
IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

standard introductory language to a definition
section.
The present phrase, "unless the context
otherwise requires", is deleted as
unnecessary.

(B) ADMINISTRATION.
"ADMINISTRATION" MEANS THE STATE AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION.
