SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County Election Board - Compensation

FOR the purpose of altering the compensation for the
members of the election board of Garrett County;
[[creating a separate]] changing the salary for the
[[Chairman]] President; and providing for the salary
compensations of the board members to take effect
beginning the next term of office.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 2-3(a)(12)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2-3(a) (12) of Article 33 -
Election Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 33 — Election Code

2-3.

(a) Each member of the boards of the several
political subdivisions of the State shall receive an
annual salary of not less than the following amounts:

(12) Garrett County: [$900.] $[[1500]] 1,300
FOR [[CHAIRMAN]] PRESIDENT [[; $1200 FOR]] AND OTHER
MEMBERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary
