AN ACT concerning

Boilers — Inspections

FOR the purpose of exempting certain boilers and pressure
vessels from boiler inspection requirements.

BY adding to

Article 48 — Inspections

Section 172(b)(4)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 172(b)(4) be and it is hereby
added to Article 48 — Inspections, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)
to read as follows:

Article 48 - Inspections

172.

(b) The following boilers and pressure vessels
shall be exempt from the requirements of §§176, 177 and
178 of this subtitle:

(4) EXHIBITION OR ANTIQUE BOILERS OR
PRESSURE VESSELS, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, STEAM OR
GAS ENGINES, WHEAT THRESHERS AND ANTIQUE TRACTORS, IF
THESE BOILERS OR PRESSURE VESSELS HAVE BEEN INSPECTED AND
ISSUED A VALID CERTIFICATE OF SAFETY BY ANOTHER STATE,
AND HAVE BEEN BROUGHT INTO THIS STATE TO BE USED IN
TEMPORARY EXHIBITS OF SHOWS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
