AN ACT concerning

Elections — Contributions Required to be
Included in Statement

FOR the purpose of providing that when a contribution
made by a director is attributed to a business
entity of which the director is an officer, partner
or employee and must be included in a statement
filed by the business entity, the contribution may
not be attributed to, and need not be included in a
statement of, any other nonprofit business entity
solely because the contributor is a director of it.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 30—3(e) be and it is hereby
added to Article 33 — Election Code, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 33 — Election Code

30-3.

(E) IF UNDER THIS SECTION A CONTRIBUTION MADE BY A
DIRECTOR IS ATTRIBUTED TO A BUSINESS ENTITY OF WHICH THE
DIRECTOR IS AN OFFICER, PARTNER OR EMPLOYEE AND MUST BE
INCLUDED IN A STATEMENT FILED BY A BUSINESS ENTITY, THE
CONTRIBUTION MAY NOT BE ATTRIBUTED TO, AND NEED NOT BE
INCLUDED IN A STATEMENT OF, ANY OTHER NONPROFIT BUSINESS
ENTITY SOLELY BECAUSE THE CONTRIBUTOR IS A DIRECTOR OF
IT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976 for reporting periods
ended on or after that date.
