The County Commissioners of Talbot County are hereby
directed, authorized and empowered to make provision by
appropriation in their annual levy from year to year for
sufficient funds to pay the salaries and expenses
hereinbefore provided for and are authorized to reimburse
the sheriff, in their sound discretion for actual
expenses paid out in the course of [this] HIS official
duties and necessarily expended where circumstances did
not warrant the obtention of prior approval from the
commissioners. The sheriff shall submit to the
commissioners an annual budget on or before a date
determined by said commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

FOR the purpose of repealing an obsolete and unnecessary
law of Talbot County concerning the power of the
State's Attorney of Talbot County to appoint a clerk
or secretary and making further provision for the
duties and compensation of the clerk or secretary.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 509 of the Public Local Laws of
Talbot County being Article 21 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition, as added by Chapter 160 of the
Acts of 1947) be and it is hereby repealed:
