The State's Attorney for Talbot County is hereby
authorized and empowered to appoint a clerk or secretary
who shall perform such clerical and other work as said
State's Attorney shall direct. The clerk or secretary so
appointed by the State's Attorney shall receive a
compensation of $100 per month which shall be paid by the
County Commissioners of Talbot County.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

FOR the purpose of authorizing the issuance of a certain
alcoholic beverage license to certain nonprofit

(1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 20 (j-3) and (j-4) be and it
is hereby added to Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume
and 1975 Supplement) to read as follows:

(J-3) IN ADDITION, SUCH A LICENSE MAY BE ISSUED TO
ANY LOCAL UNIT OF A NATIONWIDE BONA FIDE NONPROFIT
ORGANIZATION [[OR CLUB]] COMPOSED SOLELY OF MEMBERS WHO
SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES, HAVING A
CHARTER FROM A NATIONAL VETERANS' ORGANIZATION AND IN
EXISTENCE AND OPERATING IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY PRIOR TO THE
TIME OF MAKING APPLICATION FOR SUCH A LICENSE, AND HAVING
A BONA FIDE MEMBERSHIP OF NOT LESS THAN 200 PERSONS AND
DUES OF NOT LESS THAN $5 PER PERSON, WHICH ORGANIZATION
