COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

certain terms for the purposes of this Section; to
provide for the issuance of Bicentennial Housing
Licenses by the Director of the Department of
Environmental Protection and to set forth the scope
of such Licenses, which shall exempt holders thereof
from compliance with the provisions of Chapter 54
which are otherwise applicable, as well as from the
definition of "boardinghouse" as set forth in
Ordinance 7-70; to authorize the County Executive to
promulgate rules and regulations to implement and
effectuate the purposes of this Section, and
specifically to provide standards for the issuance
and revocation of Bicentennial Housing Licenses, and
the setting of fees therefor; to provide for
penalties for the violation of this Section; and to
provide for the automatic termination of this
Section from and after the 31st day of December,
1976. [Note: Sections 54-69 through 54-75 added].

Chapter 34

ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments subsection
(a) , Section 25A-4, title "Submission of agreement
as to construction of moderately priced dwelling
units," and subsection (b) of Section 25A—5, title
"Optional zoning provisions; waiver of requirements
of Chapter", of Chapter 25A, title "Housing
Moderately Priced", of the Montgomery County Code
1972, as amended, to provide that not less than the
number of dwelling units allowable as increased
units pursuant to the optional zoning provision
shall be moderately priced dwelling units in a town
sector or planned neighborhood zone; and to further
provide, in order to clarify and reiterate the
original intent, that waivers from this Chapter may
be granted only with respect to the requirement of
the number of moderately priced dwelling units to be
constructed and not with respect to any other
requirement or provision of this Chapter.

Chapter 35

ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments the
Preamble, Section 25A—3, title "Definitions",
Section 25A—4, title "Requirement", subsection (b)
of Section 25A-6, title "Distribution of Units;
Certificates; General Public; Housing Authority,
Agency or Corporation", of Chapter 25A, title
"Housing, Moderately Priced", of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, as amended, to change references
to the Montgomery County Housing Authority to the
Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission;
