County Council, in their discretion, to pay all or
part of a court judgement rendered against an
officer or employee of the County from a fund or
funds therefor, after written application and a
hearing and generally relating to the legal defense
of and court judgements against officers and
employees of Howard County.
Council Bill No. 34
AN ACT to amend Section 3.210 of the Howard County Code
by adding Subsection E thereto, to require approval
by the Director of Public Works of fee schedules for
electrical inspections.
Council Bill No. 35
AN ACT to add new Subtitle 7 entitled, "Alcoholic
Beverages," to Title 8, "Crimes and Misdemeanors" of
the Howard County Code (1972 and 1972-3 Cumulative
Supplements); for the purpose of prohibiting the
consumption of alcoholic beverages and the
possession of unsealed containers of alcoholic
beverages at posted shopping centers and, posted
parking lots, [and from 9:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. in
Howard County Parks and open space,] except where a
license has been granted by the appropriate
authority.
Council Bill No. 36
AN ACT to add to Title 12, "Health and Social Services,"
new Subtitle 5, "Older Howard Countians Act,"
Sections 12.500 through 12.501, to the Howard County
Code to create the Office on Aging as an agency in
the Executive Department consisting of a Director on
Aging and his/her staff as provided in the County
Budget; and creating a Commission on Aging as an
advisory body to the Office on Aging; providing the
powers and duties of the Director on Aging, the
Office on Aging and the Commission on Aging;
providing for the transfer of certain assets and
liabilities to the new Office on Aging; and relating
generally to the Office on Aging, the Director on
Aging and the Commission on Aging.
