Council Bill No. 19
AN ACT to Repeal Title 21 of the Howard County Code title
"Traffic Control" and to repeal all Amendments and
additions thereto, and to enact new Title 21 of said
Code title "Traffic Control" in lieu thereof to
stand in the place of the Title so repealed,
generally revising the traffic laws of Howard County
and relating generally to traffic control and to the
powers, duties and function of certain County
officers and employees in relation thereto.
Council Bill No. 23
AN ACT to amend Section 3.200 of the Howard County Code
to increase the number of members of the Board of
Electrical Examiners from five to seven and to
change their term from five to four years.
Council Bill No. 24
AN ACT to repeal and reenact with amendments Section
4.201, inclusive, of Title 4 of the Howard County
Code, title "Contract and Purchasing," to follow
immediately after Section 4.200 thereof and to be
under the sub-title, "Real Property," providing a
procedure for the disposition of real property no
longer need for public purposes and providing for
deviations from said procedure in certain cases.
Council Bill No. 33
AN ACT to add new Subtitle 5, "Defense of Actions Against
Public Officers and Employees," new Sections 1.500
through 1.508 to Title 1, "Administration," of the
Howard County Code, to provide for legal
representation by the County Solicitor of officers
and employees of the County under certain
circumstances, providing for the nature of the
agreement to be entered into between the officer or
employee and the County Solicitor relating to such
legal representation, providing for special counsel
to be appointed in certain circumstances, providing
for the recovery from the moving party of costs and
expenses of defense in the event of proceedings in
bad faith, providing for the Executive and the
