occurring in Howard County, to educate consumers
with reference to such practices, to create an
office of Consumer Affairs to administer and assure
enforcement of the provisions of this enactment and
to foster trade practices which are to the best
interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the
general public, and to provide for the County
Executive, with approval by the County Council, to
appoint an Advisory [Committee] Board on Consumer
Affairs to advise the office of consumer affairs
when necessary.

Council Bill No. 8

AN ACT to add Section 18.124(cc) to Title 18, "Public
Works," Subtitled "Public Utilities," of the Howard
County Code, to incorporate into the Metropolitan
District of Howard County the individual parcel of
land owned by James and Ann Hepding.

Council Bill No. 11

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Section
16.100(c) "Definitions" and Section 16.202 Purpose
of Title 16 Planning, Zoning, and Subdivision
Control of the Howard County Code to subject Howard
County to its own Zoning Regulations and Subdivision
Regulations.

Council Bill No. 12

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Section
16.100 "Subdivision Control," paragraph A
"Definitions" of the Howard County Code, to
re-define "Subdivision"; and further declaring this
to be an emergency measure.

Council Bill No. 13

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact with amendments Section
17.307 of Title 17 of the Howard County Code "Public
Protection Services," Subtitle 3, "Dogs" and to
repeal Section 17.308 of the Howard County Code, in
order to remove the position of dog warden from the
Howard County Exempt Service.
