TANEYTOWN

(Carroll County)

RESOLUTION NO. 175

WHEREAS, a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and
Council of the City of Taneytown to enlarge the
corporate boundaries of said City by the annexation
of a parcel of land contiguous to and adjoining the
existing Corporate boundaries of said City; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have caused to be made a
verification of the signatures upon said Petition
and have ascertained that the persons signing the
Petition represent at least twenty—five per cent
(25%) of the persons who reside in the area to be
annexed and who are registered voters in County
elections in the precinct in which the territory to
be annexed is located, and the owners of at least
twenty-five per cent (25%) of the assessed valuation
of the real property located in the area to be
annexed;

Local Laws of Carroll County.

The president read to the meeting a letter of
Petition, dated February 3, 1975, from

The Petitioners, THE COMMISSIONERS OF THURMONT,
MARYLAND, requesting the annexation of 24.691 acres ± of
land along the Northeast quadrant of the intersection of
Route 806 and Eyler Road.

The signatures to the petition, which is attached
hereto, were ascertained by the Commissioners to
represent one hundred per cent (100%) of the resident of
the areas therein who are registered as voters in County
Elections in the precinct which the areas are located,
and also the owners of one hundred per cent (100%) of the
real property located within that area.
