EXECUTIVE ORDERS

this Commission for Student Affairs;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARVIN MANDEL, GOVERNOR OF MARYLAND,
BY THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN HE BY ARTICLE II, SECTION
24, OF THE CONSTITUTION OF MARYLAND, AND BY ARTICLE
41, SECTION 15C OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND,
HEREBY ISSUE THE FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE ORDER,
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

1.    The Governor's Advisory Commission on Student
Affairs for the University of Maryland,
College Park Campus is created.

2.     (a) The Commission consists of 15 members

appointed by the Governor. Each member
shall be a student at the University of
Maryland, College Park, and shall serve
for a term of one year.

(b) Seven of the members shall be from the
following organizations at College Park:
the Black Student Union; the
Chancellor's Graduate Student Advisory
Council; the Interfraternity Council;
the Panhellenic Council; the Residence
Hall Association; the Student Government
Association; and the University
Commuters Association.

3.    The Commission shall advise the Governor on
matters concerning student affairs at the
College Park campus of the University of
Maryland.

4.    The Governor's Education Office shall serve as
liaison on all matters between the Governor
and the Commission.

PROCLAMATION OF APRIL 6, 1976

EXTENSION OF LEGISLATIVE SESSION

WHEREAS, Article III, Section 52(10) of the Constitution
of Maryland provides that "If the Budget Bill
shall not have been finally acted upon by the
Legislature seven days before the expiration of the
regular session, the Governor shall issue a
proclamation extending the session for some further
period as may, in his judgment, be necessary for the
passage of such bill;" and
