VETOES

Honorable Steny H. Hoyer
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
319.

This bill corrects a technical error in Section 7 of
Article 78, the Public Service Commission Law.

House Bill 1361, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 17,1976, generally
restructures the present Public Service Commission and
the duties of many of its personnel. In doing so, House
Bill 1361 amends Section 7 of Article 78 and corrects any
errors therein.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 319.

Sincerely,
Marvin Mandel
Governor

Senate Bill No. 324 - Agreements Between Spouses

AN ACT concerning

Chancery Jurisdiction — Agreements Between
Husband and Wife

FOR the purpose of providing for a chancery court's
jurisdiction to modify certain agreements between a

husband and wife; providing for the prospective

effect of this Act; clarifying language; and making
this Act an emergency measure which shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

May 17, 1976.
Honorable Steny H. Hoyer
