(5) One representative of industries engaged
in distribution of beer and malt beverages in beverage
containers to dealers;
(6) Three representatives of labor
organizations involved in the manufacture, distribution,
or retail sale of beverages in beverage containers, or in
the manufacture of glass or metal beverage containers;
(7) Two representatives of retail food sales
agencies, one of whom shall represent so—called "chain
supermarkets" and one of whom shall represent
individually owned and operated food stores;
(8) Eleven representatives of environmental
organizations, to include local, State, and national
groups of this type; and
(9) [[Six]] Seven ex officio nonvoting
persons as follows:
(ft) One representative of the
Department of Natural Resources;
(B) One representative of the
Department of Economic and Community Development;
(C) One representative of the
Department of Human Resources;
(D) One representative of the
Governor's Council of Economic Advisors;
(E) Two members of the General
Assembly, one from the House of Delegates and one from
the Senate of Maryland; and
(F) One representative of the
Environmental Health Administration of the Department of
Health and Mental Hygiene; and
(10) Any other persons the task force, once
appointed, deems necessary for its purposes; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the task force shall meet regularly
to discuss and study the problems and benefits of a
return to a system of returnable beverage containers with
mandatory deposits, and to share all relevant information
among themselves and the general public. By January 1,
1977, the task force shall submit to the General Assembly
a report of its findings, with a careful delineation of
majority and minority views, if any. The report shall
include:
(a) A projection of the effects of mandatory
deposit legislation upon employment in this State, and a
detailed substantiation of this projection;
